American Indian Rights and Resources Organization (AIRRO) (Click) AIRRO recognizes that there is a growing trend within Indian Country where Indians and non-Indians alike are being denied or stripped of basic rights including, but not limited to: right to due process, equal protection under the law, voting and employment rights, and citizenship. AIRRO will serve as a resource for those seeking information or assistance regarding the Indian Civil Rights Act of 1968 and other laws which impact the human rights and civil liberties of Indians and non-Indian individuals. AIRRO will also work to assist individuals in order to protect, promote, and preserve their basic human rights and civil liberties and to effect change which will ensure equal rights and equal protections for all.

"If tribal governments continue down the path of wholesale evictions of their own people on the most spurious of grounds, they may not only eventually provoke the federal government to comprehensively step in and interfere in this most private of tribal decisions; but more importantly, they will continue to be acting in a manner that profoundly violates the true spirit of what it means to be a tribal nation - a nation in which all are related by genealogy (culturally derived, not fractions of blood), by land, by language and by spiritual traditions." David E. Wilkins, Lumbee, is a professor of American Indian studies at the University of Minnesota. http://www.indiancountry.com/content.cfm?id=1096413532 |

Hello everyone, As you know Carla and I have been committed to the pursuit of Indian civil rights. We will be continuing that effort, with Carla acting in her capacity as the Chairperson of AIRRO and myself in a supporting role of both AIRRO and the Northern group. I have decided to pursue another avenue. Today I am pleased to announce the launching of:REFORM the Act of California's Terminated Indians This organization will be a think tank dedicated to restoring the rights of California Indians, and their descendants, terminated under the California Rancheria Act.
